Alright, I know it has only been about 20 minutes since the first post but I figured out how to add pictures so I figured I should make a new one so you can see the inspiration for this blog.

And as I am already making a post I thought I would give some general information concerning the doggy.

  • She weighs about 2.5 lbs right now.
  • We are trying to paper train her with some success, though still more "accidents" then success
  • She is eating Iams toy breed puppy food (dry) and some wet canned food.  I can't think of the brand of the wet food yet.
  • As you can see, she is a big fluff ball right now and she is not a huge fan of getting brushed yet.
  • We are crate training her and she loves it.  I think she likes a place she can go to get away from the kids and take a nap.
  • she is just learning to bark which is just too cute.
These two pictures are from the day we brought her home.  As you can see she seems happy.  On the car ride home she was playful and happy.  She has shown no signs of missing her dog family or anything like that.  She is VERY playful and likes to "wrestle".  When wrestling with me she likes to bite at my facial hair which is funny.  She is actually very gentle about it and has yet to get any skin when doing this.  My wife thinks she does this because that is how she would wrestle with her brothers and sisters.

Speaking of my wife, she will be helping me with this blog so you will get updates from both of us.

That's about all for now.  Enjoy the pictures!

New Puppy...New Blog

This is my first blog ever, so please be patient with me as I learn.  I decided to make a blog about the new family dog.  We got her last Sunday (Feb 28, 2009).  She is an 8 week old pomeranian named Ice.  She is all white and very cute.  I'll put up pictures as soon as I figure out how to do that.

I plan on posting the progress of things like potty training, teaching her tricks, how she gets along with our two cats (Kitty and Princess), and anything else comes up.  We have never owned a pomeranian before, but from everything I have read they are great little dogs.

If you have any tips or suggestions on either raising a dog, or making a blog I would love to hear them!
